Police officers in Bucharest have started investigations after being notified that MEP Diana Șoșoacă made a video inside the voting booth. Șoșoacă posted several images of ballot papers to which her name was added with a pen, over which the „Voted” stamp was applied.
„The checks are being carried out by police officers from the 6th Police Section, for the possible violation of the norms of art. 55 lit. m) related to art. 56 para. (1) of Law no. 370/2004, regarding the photographing or filming by any means of the ballot paper and for taking the necessary legal measures,” the Capital Police stated.
MEP Diana Șoșoacă posted on her Facebook account several photos of ballot papers to which her name was added with a pen alongside the names of the presidential election candidates, over which the "Voted" stamp was applied.
The Constitutional Court rejected Diana Șoșoacă's candidacy in the presidential elections in October.
