A 41-year-old woman died on Monday morning after falling from the 7th floor of a building located on Calea Aradului in Timișoara, Romania. Police officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the victim’s death.
Later, it was revealed that the woman was Judge Sorina Lupșa from the Timiș Court, according to News.ro.
Sorina Lupșa graduated from the Faculty of Law at the West University of Timișoara in 2006, and in 2008 she completed her studies at the National Institute of Magistracy. She began her career as a prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Timișoara Court (July 2009 - February 2011), then became a judge at the Timișoara Court (February 2011 - April 2013). From May 2013 until the present, she was working as a judge at the Timiș Court.
During the period 2012-2013, she was also appointed as the President of the Criminal Section within the Timișoara Court.
The Timiș Police stated that, according to procedures, a criminal case for manslaughter has been opened, and all circumstances surrounding the tragedy will be determined.
