Four European Nations Commit to Post-War Peacekeeping Mission in Ukraine

Four NATO military powers have expressed their willingness to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine after the end of the war.

This includes the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Turkey, as stated by Ukrainian presidential adviser Mihailo Podolyak in an interview for Novyny.LIVE, cited by UNN.

Podolyak emphasized the need for international involvement in deterring Russia.

"The question is: who will finance everything? Who will be present to integrate everything into one system and who will moderate the processes of deterring Russia? And then the issue arises that representatives of other countries interested in this should be present here."

The presidential adviser also mentioned that the war will lead to a profound reshaping of the European space: "Ukraine will move towards Europe, and the European Union will have to rethink its way of life – it will become more ascetic, militarized, and anti-Russian."

Previously, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated that several European countries have expressed their readiness to send troops to Ukraine to maintain peace.

    Moscow has repeatedly criticized the idea of Western security guarantees for Ukraine, and President Zelenski has warned that their absence could give Russia the opportunity to invade again.

    After weeks of negotiations, Ukraine and the United States have revised an initial 28-point plan, considered by Kyiv to be too close to a surrender, into a revised framework of 20 points, publicly presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

    In parallel, the following have been developed:

    • a trilateral project of security guarantees between Ukraine, the United States, and Europe;
    • a bilateral security agreement between the United States and Ukraine;
    • a separate document on economic cooperation, described as the "roadmap for Ukraine's prosperity until 2040."

    The United States is set to officially transmit the 20-point plan to Moscow. If accepted, the agreement should be signed by the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, Europe, and Russia, and the ceasefire would take effect immediately.

    Subsequently, the document should be ratified by the Ukrainian parliament and/or validated through a referendum within 60 days.
