Four men were stabbed on Wednesday in the Covent Garden neighborhood in central London, and a woman has been arrested.
Police believe it is „an incident related to mental health,” Reuters reports.
The 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and assault, Sky News reported. Police announced that "officers seized a pair of scissors from the scene."
The four injured men aged 34, 39, 42, and 52 received medical care at the scene and were then transported to a trauma center after the incident on Endell Street, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
There is no additional information about the severity of the injuries suffered, dpa writes.
"We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched an air ambulance," a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
Covent Garden is a very popular area for tourists.
Initially, the police announced that three people were stabbed in this incident, but later clarified that the number of injured is four.
